Japanese mountains

Japanese nature is mountainous. That’s the reason why there are so many beautiful mountains for example Fuji, Mount Yari and Mount Haku. Finland does not have as big mountains as Japan but maybe the most popular mount is Halti.

Mountains have been kept holy because people have thought that they bring humans close to the god. One of the holiest mountains is mount Fuji and also Mount Koya-san is the holiest Buddhist Monastery Complexes in Japan.

In Finland we do not have big mountains so for us fells and hills have been holy places.
